Our Story
Working as architects in Barcelona, we decided to turn our lives upside down and go to Australia in September 2016 with the aim of breaking with the known and discover another way of living.
Captivated by this wonderful country we were quickly carried away by the Australian lifestyle. Pause, breath and smile is a state of mind we learnt and practice in this beautiful country where life is summarized in living the present and enjoying the now, where everything develops around the sea and nature.
This ideal of life inspired us to create garoo, a brand born with the intention to make things happen by changing the way we think, act and feel to create the reality we want, a new way of looking at life.
Our first product of garoo started in the middle of our living room as a weekend side hustle while working on a full-time job. Our great passion for both, architecture and design brought us to create a timeless wallet that takes no regard of trends and gender. Our products strip everything down to its essential and omit the excess combining the laid back, yet sophisticated styles of both Barcelona and Sydney.
Two pairs of skilled hands are the main tools we create our wallets with. There are no two equal wallets just as there are no two equal hide pieces. Each leather product tells its own story; it carries the individual scars, wrinkles, scratches and natural markings of the original hide, allowing each owner the privilege of something that is unique, distinctive and exceptional.
